I'll color your world blue.

I am feeling pretty upset today. Nothing related to my weight loss or health. Other reasons I can't really post about here. I am thinking of making this blog locked so only people following can read so I can be more open. You never know who could find my blog...


What it comes down to is the feeling of being useless to a pretty big part of my life. I had to walk away for a bit today and just cry. I have this quote written on a post-it on my desk "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Well unfortunately I gave consent this morning. I am still feeling that way. Trying to give my self the internal pep talks but it's hard.

The main thing I keep telling myself is that next year at this time I'll be in a better place. That actually just made me think of another quote I love, "No matter how good or bad a situation is, it will change."

In other more positive news...

I am almost done with week 8 of C25K! I have one more 28 min. run and then I will have three 30 min. runs to finish off in week 9. I am so proud of myself for getting though this. Last year I did it for a few weeks and quit. This year I am seeing it though and even going to be doing two 5Ks in June! I also want to give a shout out to my friend Jen who is also doing it and nearing the end. We started at the same time and I think it's been a big help of us both pushing it through it and motivating each other.

So far my week points-wise has been good. I had a night snack last night which to be honest I almost forgot about. Kind of scary. I need to account for those points and move on. I believe come Saturday I will have 24 unused WAP and AP which is pretty sweet.

I weighed myself today and I was down from Saturday which rules and I still have three days to kick some butt. I am really hoping for a 3lb loss but knowing that aunty flow is around the corner I can't be that optimistic.

Well I better get back to work.

Oh one last thing! I started getting back into reading Harry Potter again and I'm really into Prisoner of Azkaban now. I can't wait to finish! We live near the Universal parks and Harry Potter world opens soon! We prob. won't go until October though. :)

TGIF!!!

So I don't have a lot of time to post since John and I are about to start Mad Men season one! I wonder if I'll like it?

Today I started week 8 of C25K which meant the 28 min. run. I alternated between 4.8 and 5.0 today on the speed. I think because I ran yesterday my legs were still tired and it made it a little harder. I almost stopped but I kept telling myself you are so much stronger than you think.

I plan to finish the other two 28 min. runs Monday and Wednesday next week.

Tomorrow I am finally getting back to my Weight Watchers meetings after a long and embarrassing five week hiatus. I know I'm going to see a 6lb or so gain. I have to deal with it and move on.

I was looking at some old WW stuff tonight. I have all my old weight trackers from when I started WW. I was consistently losing 2 lbs a week up until around I hit the 150s. So there is no reason that isn't how it should be now. I read though some old things I wrote and I felt awakened. I felt like I was remembering the person I was when I was being super successful at the program. I will be that person again.

Tomorrow we are going to Blizzard Beach (a Disney water park) and Sunday we are going to Hollywood Studios. I will get some nice walking in there and we planned out how I can stay OP while away. This is our last Disney venture this year (thank god, it's been too much lately). I love Disney but we've crammed a lot in the past year. :)

Summer is here.

Well, for those of you who don't know, I live in Florida. This weekend summer hit us and it hit us hard. The highs were in the low 90s and the humidity was out of control. I want to crawl in a hole (an air conditioned hole) and not emerge until October. Ugh.

The humidity in Florida is what makes it the worst. It's like living in a sauna. :(

Anyway, I don't think I'll be doing any outdoor running for a while. :( It stinks too because I enjoyed it the one day last week when it was nice. Maybe I'll try it out in the mornings once or twice before the 5k.

So I am done with my interval running with Couch to 5k. That means from today on I run 25 min. with no breaks (walking) and over the next three weeks work my way up to 30 min. and from there I will work on speed.

I am not going to lie - I am nervous! I am scared I won't be able to make it 25 min. tonight on the treadmill.

I have been getting side splints the past two days and I don't know why! My friend suggested I try to eliminate soda (note: drinking one now). It's going to be hard. I said goodbye to caffeine a while back but I like some fizzy goodness in my day.

In other news, John and I are leaving for the Bahamas on Thursday! I CAN'T WAIT! I can't wait to swim and be in the Atlantis water park and snorkel! YAY!

My goal is to not gain weight while I'm there. I'm going to be mindful of what I'm eating and drink lots of water.

I will update at least once more before I go!

Run, Danielle, run!

So yesterday was my first 20 min. run on the Couch to 5K program! I knew I was capable of running 20 min. because I've done it before but I wanted to try and keep my 5.0-5.2 pace that I've been doing on the treadmill. When I used to jog 20 min. it was at around a 4.5. A pretty slow jog.

After work yesterday I got myself together. Heart rate monitor on, iPod armband ready and after stretching and doing a little walking I started my timer. I ran around this big lake at work. One lap around the lake is .77 miles. I did two laps and a little more in the 20 min.! I ran the whole thing! I ended up running approx 1.6 miles in 20 min. I have time before the 5k in June to improve my endurance and speed so I am hoping in June I can finish the 5k in around 35 min. :)

I am proud of myself for how good I've been doing!

After my run I did some strength training and by the end of it I was beat!

I rushed home to shower and change because John and I's 2.5 year anniversary of dating is today. He has a class tonight so we were going to get dinner and celebrate a day early.

He got home around 6:45 p.m. and brought me some very pretty flowers. :)
